HOW DOES IT WORK?

It’s easy to become a DM Clear Certified Dentist! Simply visit our website and click on 'dentist’ in the navigation. Fill out the form and we will be in touch. We will give you all the skills, resources and support you need to get started. You also get a brand new 3Shape Trios digital scanner for use as the DM Clear partner.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

The main piece of equipment you will need is an intraoral scanner. We work with 3Shape Trios, and this will be given to you at no fee (training included). If you have a scanner, we will increase the fees that we pay you. We provide virtually everything else you need to get started. If you have a different scanner to the above please contact us and let us know.

HOW LONG DOES AN APPOINTMENT TAKE?

We recommend schedule appointments for scanning and full examination with X-rays at 60 minutes.

The fitting process in 4 weeks + composite attachments and IPR if needed will usually take another 60 minutes. There is also no need for a follow-up appointment until weeks 16-20. Because Aligners are sent directly to the patients home address and the fit of future Aligners is assured via the Dental Monitoring App.

WHICH PATIENTS ARE SUITABLE FOR DM CLEAR?

All scans are first screened by our resident Orthodontist in Melbourne before approval is given and patients are sent a MP4 video of what to expect.

HOW SOON WILL THEY GET THEIR ALIGNERS?

After the scan has been sent to us, the first set of Aligners will be delivered to your practice within 20 business days. Dental Members Australia ships the future Aligners directly to the patient monthly. The digital accuracy means there is no need for a second scan. Currently the products are made in our Flagship laboratory in Cali, Colombia.

IF THEY LOSE IT, DO I NEED TO RESCAN?

We keep your 3D-printed impression in our lab so if they need another one, we will ship the replacement guard to the patient for a cost of $150.

WHAT IF THEY NEED BRACES?

We have partnered with Smilefast and we believe that if braces and brackets are needed rather than Aligners, Smilefast will be an excellent solution. We will stop the patients Direct Debit fees and will ask you to refund the $400 deposit back to the patient.

IS THE ALIGNER 3D PRINTED?

Currently it is the model that the Aligner is fabricated on that is 3D printed. This provides accuracy to 15 microns. However in time Aligners will also be directly 3D printed which will significantly speed up the turnaround times and the cost of the products even further. Exciting times!

HOW DO I PROCESS PAYMENTS?

Payment processing is very easy. You collect the Aligner deposit of $400 from the patient directly. We take care of the $59/weekly payments and you will have a patient hopefully for life treating their general dental needs.

CAN MY PATIENTS USE HEALTH INSURANCE TO COVER SOME OF THE COST?

Yes they can. Because they pay Dental Members they can request a receipt from us to take to their health fund. We will recommend to the patient to bank their insurance quota for the general dentistry instead so that can provide for them before the Aligner fitting.

DO I HAVE TO DO ANY MARKETING?

No we will do everything. You will have the patient coming to you from us.
